Kairat Nurlybekov is an inventor and entrepreneur based in Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan.
Living in a cold, harsh climate, he has developed innovative products for cleaning and drying footwear as one enters buildings.
His product, Zima ClearSole, has been awarded a patent by the United State Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).

District Court Judge for the Central District of California with more than 40 years' experience in complex criminal and civil cases.
Becky R. Thorson
Judge Becky R. Thorson has an extensive background in intellectual property litigation, having represented plaintiffs and defendants in IP litigation throughout the United States, as well as in Lawyers Without Borders, before being appointed as a District Judge in Minnesota.
Matt Lamberti
Matt Lamberti is Senior Counsel at the Computer Crime and Intellectual Property Section of the U.S. Department of Justice, where he prosecutes sophisticated, multi-jurisdictional IP and computer crimes.
Jennifer Blank
Jennifer Blank is Attorney-Advisor in the Office of Policy and International Affairs at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, supporting the development and maintenance of effective intellectual property regimes through capacity-building programs in the Commonwealth of Independent States, Georgia, Europe and Canada

15 minutes: Kainat Nurlybekov shares his story about what inspired him to invent Zima ClearSole, and how he went about the process to patent it.
15 minutes: Judges and attorney Carter, Thorson, Lamberti share experiences, including recent cases in IP litigation; new problems and tendencies in IP infringement; special problems specific to Central Asia and Kazakhstan in particular.
15 minutes: Discussion with the group.
